Hey my name is Uli Soto and I am the Young Adults director at TheChurch. I am so excited about this weekend at TheChurch because we are talking about Prayer. When it comes to prayer I believe it's one of the most exciting and important things in life. To be honest with you prayer is not always about seeing what you prayed for come instantly, but about believing and having faith that what you prayed for will come in due time. When I first gave my entire life to God 6 years ago my prayer was to see my brother Christian give his heart to Jesus. It took 3 long years to see Christian completely give his heart to Jesus. Don't get me wrong, it was incredible, but what I realized in those 3 years was even though it took longer than I would've hoped, I never quit praying for him. That was huge key for me. Believing in something doesn't necessarily mean seeing it. Prayer is not just for Sunday mornings, prayer is a lifestyle!

The bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we live by faith, not by sight." In this passage it doesn't say that we live by sight and then by faith. You need faith to pray and believe that what you don't see yet will come. You might be saying, "well God what I'm praying for is impossible for it to come, no prayer is to big for God. Don't hold back from a prayer because you think God won't hear you. He gets excited when you pray for an audacious prayer. Just don't stop praying if you don't see any results. Because of your faith God moves on your behalf!

As we continue on this journey on what Jesus says about True Christianity here are a few tips to help keep you on track on how prayer changes everything:

1- Don't Stop!

What I mean by don't stop is don't get discourage if you don't see any results. Keep believing for God to do the impossible. Even if you don't see it, believe it's coming! Don't stop praying.

2. Thank God in any season.

We only pray to God when something good is happening in our lives. Your prayer life becomes stronger and your faith rises when you thank God even when your life may feel like you're in a storm. Thank Him that you will get through this season. Because of prayer it will only get you stronger for the next season.
