As Christ followers the foundation of our life is our relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ. When we put our faith God rather then ourselves, we are strong and able to handle any storm that life throws our way.
Scripture lets us know that Faith comes to us and is build up inside of us by hearing and hearing the word of God. Scripture also lets us know that when we hide God's word in our heart we are stronger and won't sin against him. One of the best ways to hear God's word and to hide it in our heart is by memorizing scripture. This can be very intimating but it is much easier than you think.
We want to help you build a strong foundation of faith by memorizing Proverbs 3:5-12
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in."
